Personal Development
At Saint Aidan’s, we are passionate about providing our pupils with an excellent curriculum, a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities and enrichment experiences to develop the whole child. These purposeful opportunities are carefully chosen to broaden the children’s life experiences and to develop in them the qualities to flourish in society.
Pupils at Saint Aidan’s know how to stay safe in public and online. They understood how to lead a healthy lifestyle and know what contributes to having a healthy, mind and body.
We celebrate the diversity of our school community. The protected characteristics and British Values permeate the school curriculum and are also taught explicitly. Our vision is that all children develop understanding, tolerance and respect of those who have different cultures and beliefs.
We prepare our children to become respectful and responsible citizens who understand how to participate actively in their community.
Through charitable events and Catholic Social Teaching, our children learn to consider the needs of others and organise fundraising to support local, national and global charities.
We empower our pupils and teach them the skills to use their voice for the good of themselves and others. Our active pupil leadership groups support and represent all aspects of our school and lead to positive changes in the school and local area. Our children know how to ask for help and to offer help when it is needed.
