Class: Year 1 Year: 2018-2019

• In Literacy, we will be writing poems based on the ‘The Sound Collector’ by Roger McGough. The children will also be writing their own stories based on ‘The Tiger Who Came to Tea’ and ‘Handa’s Surprise’.

• In Numeracy the children will be continuing to practice finding 1 more/less and 10 more/less than a given number, addition and subtraction, place value and fractions.

• Our topic will be on The Great outdoors, where the children will continue to learn about seasonal change and investigate materials.The children will be making playground equipment for our small world characters and looking at the work of Monet as a starting point for their own drawings and paintings.
